TEHRAN (IRNA) – Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Monday that confessions of those tried recently on charges of spying for foreigners all prove involvement of foreigners and their media in the post-election events.

Boroujerdi told IRNA that the confessions further prove the reality that foreigners sided with rioters in the post-elections events.
He said that even if supposing there were no such a court to deal with the subject, all the issues raised in the BBC and VOA channels as well as the anti-revolutionary satellite networks indicate open intervention of foreigners in the post-election developments.
He said the interferences had been so obvious that BBC and VOA networks dedicated about 20 to 22 hours of their programs to Iran elections, encouraging the rioters to go on with the unrest.
Besides their media, leaders of those countries too raised baseless claims on Iran’s internal affairs and the 10th presidential elections, added Boroujerdi.
He said confessions of those countries' agents in Iran to measures they had taken in connection with Iran elections further show the realities to the world.
As for claims raised by some of the accused that foreigners and terrorist groups tried to infiltrate into the headquarters of presidential candidates and some parties, Boroujerdi said since the Iranian community is an open one without any limits or controls it is easy for foreign intelligence services to infiltrate into Iranian political and social organizations.
He called on parties and groups to look out for foreigners’ infiltration and said the recent bitter experiences prompted political groups to take a new attitude towards secret part of foreigners’ intervention.
